Progressive rock jam band powerhouse Umphrey’s McGee comes to town this Saturday as part of their extensive 2010 winter tour. This touring juggernaut is very familiar with Cincinnati. The return of Umphrey’s to Cincinnati is the first since the their Taft Theater performance on April 16, 2009 which featured a sit in with Cincinnati’s own Nick Blasky. Always one to deliver incredible setlists and unique improvisations, we can expect nothing less than an incredible evening of music from these six musicians that make up Umphrey’s McGee. Formed at The University of Notre Dame in 1997, Umphrey’s has grown from those small roots, into a band that sells out venues across the country and headlines numerous summer music festivals. Umphrey’s is consistently invited to play many of United States biggest music festivals such as Bonnaroo, High Sierra Music Festival, and Rothbury. Brendan Bayless(guitar/vocals), Joel Cummins(keyboard/vocals), Ryan Stasik(bass/vocals), Jack Cinninger(guitar/vocals), Kris Myers(drums/vocal), and Andy Farag(percussion) return to the Madison Theater on Saturday March 6, 2010. Show tickets can be purchased by visiting the Madison Theater online. The doors open at 8:00pm and will feature opening act The Ugly Suit. Showtime for the event is at 9:00pm. All information and links can be found below. The Noble Visions will be in attendance covering the show in its entirety and will publish a full recap and photographs of the concert.
